Not A Good Night
Cole once again didn’t get a win and didn’t get any offensive support. Two infield hits and a balk by Luis set up the lead run in the seventh and the Marlins took advantage of two errors to bust it open with four unearned runs in the eighth. A close game wound up as a 6-1 loss. So, the rubber game of the series will take place this afternoon.
Cole is now 0-4 over his last six starts. Offense has produced four runs.
Cody’s homer accounted for the lone run. He’s hitting .375 over last 12 games.
