The Florida Instructional League is off to a soggy start. The season opener was rained out yesterday and today’s game has already been postponed. When the Vet was opened in 1971, a theme tower in the northeast corner of the parking lot made its debut. Messages about the game appeared on the board which eventually went dark. Workers have started to dismantle the tall lower. It will be replaced with another message board, a two-sided fixture that won’t be as tall.
