Today’s Lineup
Rollins, ss; Victorino, rf; Utley, 2b; Howard, 1b; Rowand, cf; Burrell, lf; Dobbs, 3b; Ruiz, c; Kendrick, p.

Baseball is a strange game.  Phillies swept three games from the Mets in New York earlier this month.  The Mets were down and the Phillies added to the downer.  Now, 22 games later the Phillies are trying to avoid a four-game sweep from the Mets, who are now the hot team.

Phillies finished June 15-13, their second straight month with that record . . . Today’s sell out is #12 for the season . . . Today’s game is one of only 10 home games this month . . . RHP Anderson Garcia is the eighth pitcher the Phillies have brought up from their minor league system this season.

On the Road
Phillies leave after the game for their final road journey before the four-day All-Star Game break.  The trip includes three games in Houston starting tomorrow night, a day off on July 5 and three games in Denver next weekend.
